The Donostia bullring opens its doors for a compact and eagerly awaited bullfighting programme, usually made up of two bullfights and one rejones event (mounted bullfighting), afternoons marked by the presence of leading figures and a devoted crowd.
The San Sebastián Bullfighting Fair, held every year in the second week of August, attracts spectators from different parts of Spain and southern France, creating a unique atmosphere around the paseíllo (opening parade), respect for the bull and a deep passion for the tradition.
